RSS...a Really Simple Guide to Understanding Really Simple SyndicationHave you seen that little orange or blue RSS button around the Internet and wondered what the heck it's for?
Basically, it's a way for you to get information you WANT delivered directly to your desktop...without giving anyone your email address...with giving any personal details... or without whitelisting or sorting through the junk currently cluttering your inbox. Whether you realize it or not...there's a good chance that even the email you want is NOT getting delivered to you. Why? Because of aggressive email filters. The RSS reader should be fast and simple to download, install, and add feeds. If it's not, move on. Once you get set-up, all you need to do is... Right-click (control-click for Mac) on any RSS button on a website, Blog or other source that interests you. Select Copy Shortcut (Copy Link to Clipboard for Mac) and paste that URL into your RSS reader.
That's all there is to it...you're subscribed!
